Feeding My Inner Geek
My inner geek is calling out. It needs feeding with a new toy to keep it happy.
I do have a tendency to geeky from time to time and since seeing an advert for mobile broadband Internet connections my inner geek has been acting rather loud and demanding I get it.
So I gave in this morning and ordered one off from www.broadbandgenie.co.uk and now I can’t wait for it to arrive, very excited!
What mobile broadband is a USB dongle that plugs into your laptop and taps into a wireless Internet signal being broadcast around the UK by the mobile phone companies, who are running most of the networks.
This means that if you are able to get any signal on your mobile you should be able to get mobile broadband signal as well.
It also means I can take my laptop anywhere I want and still get wireless broadband connections, which I think is great! My inner geek is now rejoicing at the thought of downloading (at some good speeds) from my car as I drive, or whilst watching a movie, or pretty much anywhere!
